As part of strengthening joint economic and trade relations, the Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Nidal Al-Shaar, issued Decision No. 61, providing for the formation of the Syrian–Lebanese Business Council on the Syrian side.
The decision appointed the Council’s Board as follows:
- Ms. Leila Al-Samman | Chairperson of the Council.
- Mr. Ismail Affara | Vice Chairperson.
- Mr. Riyad Abaji | Vice Chairperson.
- Mr. Adeeb Bastaneh | Executive Director of the Council.
The issued decision confirmed that this Council is the only council officially recognized by the Ministry of Economy and Industry and shall operate in accordance with the provisions of the Statute of the Syrian Joint Business Councils with countries around the world.
At the Syrian–Lebanese Business Council, we look forward to a new phase of dedicated work to open broader horizons for investment and trade cooperation and to build strong partnerships that serve the interests of the business community in the two brotherly countries.
