A luncheon hosted in Beirut by Mr. Hussam Sharkiah, Board Member of the Syrian-Lebanese Business Council, brought together members of the Board of Directors of the Syrian-Lebanese Business Council and members of the Executive Office of the Lebanese-Syrian Business Council, in the presence of former minister Mohamed Choucair, President of the Economic Bodies in Lebanon.
Attendees discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two councils and establish a joint action plan for the upcoming phase.
The two sides also agreed to strengthen joint efforts by forming specialized coordination committees between the two councils. These committees will provide direct and effective communication channels between the business communities, facilitate the exchange of information and data regarding trade and investment opportunities as well as relevant legislation and procedures, assist business leaders and investors in both countries in accessing required information, and foster opportunities for cooperation and partnership.
