The Syrian-Lebanese Business Council, represented by its President, Dr. Laila Al-Samman, along with founding board members Ismail Afara, Dr. Riad Obegi, and Adib Basatne, took part in the official launch ceremony of the Charter for Joint Syrian Business Councils and the Guide for Council Presidents and Founders. The event was held as part of the Syrian National Conference for Private Sector Dialogue.
The launch of the Charter and the Guide marks an important milestone in establishing a unified framework for the operation of Syria’s joint business councils and strengthening their role in advancing economic relations with partner countries. This initiative is expected to support investment and trade while expanding opportunities for economic cooperation.
The Charter also lays the foundation for a more integrated and effective governance framework, reinforcing the presence of Syria’s private sector and enhancing its contribution to economic development, while creating new opportunities for business growth and strategic partnerships.
